In the name of God Amen   The Eighth day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and Eighteen   I John Paule of the prish of Sennen in the County of Cornwall fisher man being but weake of Body but of Parfect mind and memory thanks be rendard  to the almighty  God for itt and knowing that itt is appointed for me once to dye doe make this my Last will and Testament in manner and forme following

 

Impris.   I doe recommend and Bequeath my Soule unto the hands of almighty God my maker who gave itt and my Body to be buried in a Decent and Christian like manner

 

Item     I doe give and bequeath unto James michell my sonenlaw the sum of one shilling, to be paid If demanded att the end of twelve months after my deceas

 

Item     I doe give and bequeath unto margred ye wife of James michell the sum of one shilling at the end of twelve months after my decease

 

All the rest of my goods and Chattles moveable or unmovable personall or reale of what kind or quality soever as Lands livings houses Gardens with all other my Chattles as aforesaid I give unto my Sonn Joseph Paule whome I doe constitute and appoint to be my Lawfull Executor to see this my will may be fulfilled

In the name of God Amen, The one and twentieth daye of December in the one and twentieth yeare of the Raigne of our Soveraigne Lord King Charles the second &c. and in the yeare of our Lord God one thousand six hundred sixty nine, I John Bands of the parish of Sennen in the County of Cornewall yeoman being sick and weake in body but of Sound and pfect memory (praise be given to God for the same) and knowing the uncertainty of this life here on Earth and desireous to settle things in order, Doe make this my last will and Testament in manner and forme following (that is to say) first and principaly I Commend my Soule to Almighty God my Creatour assuredely beleiveing that I shall receive full pardon and free remission of all my sins and be saved by the precious death and merritts of my blessed Saviour and Redeemer Christ Jesus, and my body to the earth from whence it was taken to be buried in Such decent and Christian manner as to my Executors hereafter named shall be thought moot and convenient, And as touching such worldly estate as the Lord in mercy hath sent me, my will and meaneing is that the same shall be Imployed and bestowed as hereafter by this my will is expressed.  And first I doe revoke renounce frustrate and make void all wills by mee formerly made, And declare and appointe this my last will and Testament.

 

Item - I give and bequeath unto my wife Alice Bands the one moyety or halfe parte of one Tenement that now is in my tenure and possession by virtue of an assignment thereof made and granted unto me by John Richards late of the pish of Sennen aforesaid deceased being and lying in Treveor in the pish of Sennen aforesaid beareing date the one and twentieth daye of June ano dom 1634 for and dureing the terme and time of fowerscore and nyneteene yeares Then next ensueing determinable on the death of michaell Richards Alice Richards and me the said John Bands as by the said deed of assignment more fully may appe Alsoe I give and bequeath unto my said wife Alice Bands the one halfe pte of all the rest of my goods as well within doores as without.

 

Item - I give and bequeath unto my daughter Grace Bands her heirs admins and assigns one quarter pte of the sd Tenement for and during the naturall lives of Michaell Richards and Alice Richards aforesaid or the longest liver of them  Alsoe I give and bequeath unto my said Daughter Grace Bands the one quarter pte of all the rest of my goods as well within doores as without.

 

Item - I give and bequeath unto my daughter Margarett Bands one other quarter pte being the fowerth part of the said Tenement to have and to hold unto her the said margarett Bands her heirs admins and assigns for and during the naturall lives of the said michaell Richards and Alice Richards or the longest liver of them,  Alsoe I give and bequeath unto my said daughter margrett Bands one other quarter pte being the fowerth pte of all the rest of my goods as well within doores as without

 

Item - I give and bequeath unto my said daughters Grace Bands and margrett Bands thabovesaid one moyety or halfe pte of the said Tenement after the death of my said wife Alice Bands if the sd michaell Richards and Alice Richards or either of them shall happen to be and survive my said wife Alice Bands   Alsoe my will and desire is that my said daughters Grace and Margrett shall have thabovesaid one halfe pte of all the rest of the goods given as abovesaid unto my sd wife as well within doores as without after the death of my said wife Alice Bands all which said Tenement, goods and Chattells I doo hereby devise and appointe Hugh Jones of penrose in the County aforesaid Esq. to divide betweene my said wife and my sd daughters pportionably when occasion shall be and required, And Alsoe I doe by this my last will make nominate and appointe my said wife Alice Bands my said daughters Grace Bands and margrett Bands to be my sole and whole Executrixes Joyntly to see this my last will and Testament in manner and forme aforesd fully and wholy Executed and pformed.  In witness whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and Seale the day and yeare first above written / 1669.

In the name of god: amen:  According to the compullation of the Church of england I Jone: Vingo of the parrish of Sennen widow in the County of Cornwall being att this time sicke in body: but of a sound and perfectt memory prase be to given to God doe make this my last will and Testtamentt in manor and forme followeth -

I Richard Vingoe of the parish of St. Levan in the County of Cornwall fisherman being at this time sick & weake of body but of sound and perfect mind and memory thankes and praise be given to Almighty God assuredly trusting through the only Merrytts of our Saviour Christ to be made partaker of Everlasting happiness at the Last Daye doe now make and ordaine this my last Will and Testament in manner and forme following

 

Imp:  I bequeath my soule Into the hands of my Redeemer & my body to Receiv Chrystian Burial.

Itt.     I give and bequeath all my wearing apparrell unto John Paul my brother in law

The Will of one John Vingoe lately Deced Proved in Common Form before the Revd. Mr. James Bevan Clerk Surrogate &c.

And Admtion of all and singular the Goods and soforth of the said Deceased and of all things howsoever concerning his said Will was Granted to the Executor therein named / being first sworn &c. /  Saving  &c. /

In the name of  God Amen.   I John Vingoe the Elder of the Parish of Sennen in the County of Cornwall Yeoman being somewhat weak in Body but of sound disposing mind and memory Thanks be given to God for the same and calling unto mind the mortality of my Body and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die  Do hereby make this my last Will and Testament as follows  That is to say first and principally I recommend my Soul in the hands of Almighty God that gave it me nothing doubting but to receive the same again at the general Day of the Resurrection through the merits of my Blessed Redeemer Jesus Christ.  And my body I recommend to the Earth to have a decent Christian Burial and as touching such Worldly Goods and Effects wherewith God hath been pleased to bless me with in this life I hereby Give Devise and Bequeath as follows

 

Imp.   I hereby give to my son William Vingoe the sum of Forty shillings per year and every year during his natural life free of all out goings whatsoever from and immediately after my Death by even and equal half year payments.  Being due and payable out of my Freehold Estate in the Tenement of  Trevescan in Sennen aforesaid and which was formerly purchased of James Keigwen Esquire Deceased to be paid unto his own Hands and to no other person or Order whatsoever which said sum of Forty Shillings yearly is to stand remain rest and be as a full Barr satisfaction and Discharge against his or any Lawful Child of  His save only as is hereafter given / claim in anyway whatsoever to any of my Freehold Lands Estates Chattels and Effects whatever wherewith I shall be possessed seized off or any way intitled unto at the day of my death

Also   I hereby give to my Daughter Elizabeth the now wife of William Hosken the sum of One Guinea to be paid Her at the end of  Twelve Months after my Decease which with her Fortune paid her in full Barr   of all Her or Her Husbands claim to any of my Lands and or Effects whatsoever wherewith I shall die possessed in anyway untitled unto.

Also   I hereby give to my Daughter Mary Vingoe the sum of Fifty Pounds to be paid to Her at the end of the Twelve Months after my Decease  with wholesome and sufficient Meat Drink and Lodging and Apparel to be found Her till that Time in Eskalls by my Executor  also And if she choose it shall rest and remain in Eskalls aforesaid with my Executor till she Marries on the same footing as she now lives with me.

Also   I hereby give to my Daughter Sarah the now Wife of John George the sum of half a guinea to be paid Her at the end of Twelve Months after my Decease which with her marriage portion already in hand paid Her is in full Barr of all Her or Her Husbands Claim to my Lands or Effects whatsoever wherewith I shall be possessed  or anyway intitled unto at the Day of my Death.

Also   I hereby give to my Granddaughter Ann the Daughter of my Son William Vingoe the sum of Five Pounds to be paid Her when She shall attain the age of Twenty One years.

Also   I hereby give to my Grandchildren John Saundry Elizabeth Saundry and Margaret Saundry Children of James Saundry Deceased The Sum of Five Shillings each to be paid them when they shall respectively attain the Age of Twenty One years  in full Barr of all and each of their Claim to any of my Lands Chattels and Effects whatsoever.

Also    I hereby by Will and Order that my sister Anne The now Widow of Thomas Hebbard shall have her Meal daily during her natural life in case She is able to come for it at the expense of my Executor at his Dwelling House and as soon as she becomes Weak and not able to come That forthwith thence I hereby give her Four Pounds yearly and every year during her natural Life free of all outgoings whatsoever payable by equal quarterly payments.  But in case her yearly Annuity given her by her Sister Elizabeth Saundry Deceased declines and fall off in Her Life Time then in that case I hereby from that Time Augments this Four Pounds yearly to Five Pounds yearly during her Life Time payable as abovesaid but not to be Sold or Assigned to any person.

Also   All the trust and power  Rested and Vested in Me by my Son in Law James Saundry Deceased in his last Will and Testament which Will is proved according to due form of Law I hereby Transfer over Rest and Assign to my Son John Vingoe with full power and Authority for him or whosoever he shall nominate

And mention in his last Will and Testament for that purpose and the Executor and Administers of such person or persons or to Survivor of them forthwith from my Death to take place and to Act and executor and perform in all things during the Term and Trust in the Will mentioned.  He or they keeping and likewise rendering a fair Just and clear Account from the Day of my Death of all his or their Received and disbursements thereof whatsoever as myself was to lodge and regarding the true intent and purpose and meaning of the said Will.

Lastly   All my Freehold Estate and lands in Eskalls and Elsewhere with the Inheritance thereof with the Heyditaments and Appurtenances to them severally and separately and belonging with All other my Lease Hold Estates, Boats Fishing Crafts  Goods  Chattels and Effects whatsoever and wheresoever they ly and be That I shall be possessed  seized of or any way intitled unto at the day of my Death and not in herein before given I hereby Give I hereby give Devise and Bequeath to my said son John Vingoe  To Hold to Him his Heirs and Assigns for Evermore Whom I hereby also constitute nominate makes and appoints whole and Sole Executor of the my Last Will and Testament.  He paying all my Just Debts Yearly Annuity Legacys and Funeral Charges.  And hereby make void and of no effect all Wills whatsoever made by me at any Time heretofore made in Wittness where I have hereunto Sett my Hand and Affixed my Seal the nineteenth day of February in the year of our Lord One Thousand seven Hundred and eighty nine.

In the name of God Amen.  I William Vingoe of the Parish of Sennen in the County of Cornwal Yeoman being weak in Body but of sound disposeing mind and memory / Thanks be given to God for the same / And calling unto mind the mortallity of my Body.  And knowing that it is appointed for all persons once to Die  Do hereby make this my last Will & Testament in manner and form following  / That is to say / First and principally   I Recommend my Soul into the Hands of Almighty God that gave it to Me  nothing doubting but to Receive the same again at the General Day of the Resurrection in and thro’ the merits of my Blessed Redeemer Jessus Christ and my Body I Recommend to the Earth to have a desent Christian Burial  And as Touching such Worldly Goods Chattles and Effects wherewith God hath been pleased to Bless Me with in this Life  I hereby Give and Bequeave /as follows/

 

Imps.  I hereby Give to my Dearly beloved Wife Mary Vingoe One Guinea in Gold to be paid Her at the End of one Kalinder Month after my Decease  Also hereby Give my said Wife during the Time she Remains my Widow for her Use and no longer All my Bed Stead with the Curtains, and Furniture to the same belonging now in my Parlour Chamber Feather Tye, Bolster pillows Rug, Quilt Sheetts and Blankets to the same belonging.  Also one Dressing Table, one Wash stand, one Oval Looking Glass Six Silver Tea Spoons, One Silver Meat Spoon, One Silver Tea Tongs, Six China Cups and Sausers, One China Bason One Silver Milk pott One pillar Claw Table, One small four Legs Deal Table Six Oak Chairs. One half of the Cloom in the House, Six pewter Plates and one pewter Dish, three new Milk pans, the Decanter  and Wine Glasses being in Number Six,  One pewter funel Two Baking Kettles, One small Tea Kettle One Baker Bakeing Iron and Brand Iron,  Six Black and Six White Knives and Forks, a Large and two small Tea Waiters Snuffers and Stand, one Wooden Bowl and Butter Tub.  The parlours pictures / The Two large Maps Excepted /  Kitchen Table Tram and Turn, Washing Tray,  Sett of Fire Irons, Warming pan, Grid Iron and Sauspan, one Flaskett.  All the aforesaid Household Furniture Goods and Chattles at the Death of my said Wife or Intermarriage with any Man which ever happens first to forthwith become the property of my Child or Children without any Fraud whatsoever.  / Wearing, Useing and Tire in the mean Time only Excepted.

 

Lastly  All the Rest Residue and Remainder, of Goods Live Stock of what kind sover Corn Chattles and Effects whatsever, whereever they be only moveable or immoveable that I shall be possessed or Intituled unto at the Day of my Death and not herein before given  / I hereby Give and Bequeave to my good and worthy Father Richard Vingoe and to his Executors and Administrators,  He or They paying all my just Debts Legacies and Funeral Charges As Well as supporting and Maintaining in a handsome and decent way my Child or Children till they can Support Themselves, free from the Charge of all persons whatsoever  Whome I hereby make name and whole and Sole Executor hereof

The original last Will and Testament of William Vingoe late of Escalls in the Parish of Sennen Yeoman decsd, proved in common form before The Revd. Mr. Robyn Surrogate this day  &  Adcon gr.  to Joan Vingoe the widow  & Extrix therein named (being first sworn)

This is the last Will and Testament of me William Vingoe of Escalls within the Parish of Sennen in the County of Cornwall  Yeoman.

 

First  I give and bequeath unto my Grandaughter Margaret Stevens the sum of one hundred Pounds of lawful money of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, current in Great Britain, to be paid unto her within the space of six months next after the decease of my dear Wife Joan Vingoe and I do hereby charge and make subject and liable all my Freehold Messuages Lands Tenements and Hereditaments lying and being in and parts and parcels of the Village and Lands of Escalls aforesaid, within the said Parish of Sennen, with and to the payment of the said Legacy or Sum of one hundred Pounds unto my said Grandaughter.

 

Also  I give and devise unto my said Wife Joan Vingoe All those my said Freehold Messuages Lands Tenements and Hereditaments lying and being in and parts and parcels of the Village and Lands of Escalls aforesaid with their several and respective Appurtenances To hold the same unto my said Wife Joan Vingoe and her assigns, from and immediately after my death, for and during the term of her natural life and no longer  And from and immediately after the death of my said Wife, I give and devise all and singular my said Freehold Lands Tenements and Hereditaments and every of them with their several and respective Rights Members and Appurtenances unto my Grandaughter Ann, daughter of John Stevens of St. Ives in the county aforesaid Yeoman and wife of James Bodimar the younger of the Parish of Paul in the said county, Yeoman  To hold the same unto the said Ann Bodimar her Heirs and Assigns for ever subject to the payment of the said Legacy or Sum of one hundred Pounds to my said Grandaughter Margaret Stevens.

 

Also   I give and bequeath unto my said Wife All my Leasehold Tenement in Escalls aforesaid, which was devised and granted by the late Humphry Mackworth Peaed Esquire to my said Son in Law John Stevens, but for my use and on my account, for the Term of ninety nine years determinable on three Lives named in the Lease thereof, bearing date on or about the twenty fifth day of March in the year one thousand seven hundred and ninety one.   To hold the same unto my said Wife and her Assigns, from the day of my death for and during the term of her natural life, And from and immediately after the death of my said Wife  I give and bequeath the said Leasehold Tenement unto my said Grandaughter Ann Bodimar her Executors Administrators and Assigns, for and during all the rest residue and remainder of the said term of ninety nine years which shall be then therein to come and expire.

 

Lastly  All the Rest Residue and remainder of my Goods Chattles and Effects whatsoever and wheresoever I give and bequeath unto my said dear wife Joan Vingoe, whom I do hereby constitute and appoint the whole and sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament Hereby revoking all former Wills by me made

In the Name of God Amen I Richard Vingoe of Parish of Sennen in Penwith in the County of Cornwall Gent being (thanks be to God) of sound and disposing Mind and Memory Do make this my last Will and Testament (Revoking all others ) First I Recommend and Resign my Soul to its Creator in full and Lovely Hopes  (through the Merits and mediation of my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ) to Receive Remission of all my sins and my Body to the Earth to be Decently Interred at the Discretion of my Executrix and Executors in trust herein after named.

 

I Give and bequeath unto my Grandson William Stevens Son of Andrew Stevens the sum of One Hundred pounds of lawful English Money to be paid him on his attaining the age of twenty three years -

 

Also I Give and bequeath unto my Grandsons John Vivian and Andrew three other Sons of Andrew Stevens the sum of Six pounds each of like lawful money to be paid them respectively as they shall severally attain the age of twenty one years

 

Also I Give devise and bequeath unto my Daughter Mary the wife of the said Andrew Stevens during her natural life one annuity of Six pounds per annum to be by her received and taken independent of and without the interference of her present or any future Husband she may hereafter happen to marry and her receipt alone on payment of the same from time to time to be considered a sufficient Discharge

 

Also I Give devise and bequeath unto my daughter Margaret the Wife of James Weymouth during her natural life one annuity of Six pounds per annum to be by her received and taken independent of and without the interference of her present or any future Husband she may hereafter happen to marry and her receipt alone on payment of the same from time to time to be considered a sufficient Discharge

Also I Give devise and bequeath unto Mary Vingoe the widow of my late Son William Vingoe for her lifetime one annuity of Two pounds per annum.  The said several annuities to be respectively issuing and payable out of my Freehold Messuage Lands Tenements and Hereditaments called or known by the name or names of Trevilley  Trevescan and Church Town Tenement situate in the aforesaid parish of Sennen or out of any part or parts thereof the same to be paid in quarterly payments on the four most usual Feasts or days of payment of rent in the year the first of the said payments to commence and be made on such of the first days as shall next happen after my death and when and as often as it shall happen that the said annuities or either of them or any part thereof respectively shall be behind and unpaid for the space of thirty days next after any or either of the said Feasts or days of payment whereon the same aught to be paid as aforesaid (being lawfully demanded) that then and so often and at any time or times thereafter it shall and may be Lawful to and for the said Mary Stevens Margaret Weymouth and Mary Vingoe or either of them to whom such arrears shall or may be due as aforesaid into and upon the said Messuages Lands Tenements and Hereditaments in or called Trevilley Trevescan and Church Town Tenement or any or either of them or any part or parts thereof to enter and distrain and such Distress and Distresses to detain keep and dispose of according to Law until she or they shall be fully satisfied and paid all such  _   with the cost and charge in and about the taking keeping and disposing thereof.

 

Also I Give and devise unto my Grandaughter Mary the Daughter of my Deceased Son William Vingoe all those my said Freehold Messuages Lands Tenements and Hereditaments in or called Trevilley Trevescan and Church Town Tenement situate in the said parish of Sennen and County aforesaid To have and to hold the same unto my said Grandaughter Mary Vingoe her Heirs and assigns for Ever  Subject and charged nevertheless with the payment of all and every the several Legacies and annuities hereinbefore by me given devised and bequeathed.

 

All the rest residue and remainder of my Lands Tenements Goods Chattles personal and Testamentary Estate whatsoever and wheresoever not hereinbefore by me given devised or bequeathed I do hereby give devise and bequeath unto the said Mary Vingoe my Daughter in Law and my Sons in Law the said Andrew Stevens and James Weymouth their Heirs Executors Adminstrators In Trust to and for the only use benefit and advantage of my said Grandaughter, Mary Vingoe during her minority and until she shall attain to the age of Twenty one years at which time I give and bequeath the same to my said Grandaughter Mary Vingoe her Heirs Executor Administrators and afsigns and I do hereby make nominate and appoint them the said Mary Vingoe Andrew Stevens and James Weymouth my said Daughter and Sons in Law to be Executrix and Executors of this  my last will and Testament during the minority of my said Grandaughter Mary Vingoe and as soon as she shall attain her full age of twenty one years   I do make Ordain constitute and appoint her my said Grandaughter to be sole Executrix and residuary Legate of this my last will and Testament and I hereby devise will and appoint that my said Daughter in Law Mary Vingoe and my said sons in Law Andrew Stevens and James Weymouth and the survivors and survivor of them shall have the custody Tuition Guardianship and Education of my said Grandaughter Mary Vingoe and of her Estates and Property as well real as personal respectively and of all Interest proceeds and advantages that shall or may in any wise be made by or by reason of her Estates and property or any part thereof  hereinbefore given devised and bequeathed during her minority and until she shall attain the age of twenty one years and my will and meaning is that my said Executrix and Executors in Trust until my said Grandaughter shall attain her full age of tweny one years shall or may Til let or demise such parts of my said Freehold Lands and Hereditaments as may come into dememe at an yearly rent and give and allow unto her out of Estates and property hereby given devised and bequeathed such Maintenance and Education as they in their discreetion shall think fit and I do likewise  impower my said Executor and Trustees and the Survivors and survivor of them to deduct and retain all such Costs charges and expences as they or either of them may be at in the Execution of this my Will or the Trusts hereby in them reposed -

In the name of God Amen.  This is the last Will and Testament of me John Vingoe of the Parish of Sennen in the County of Cornwall,  Yeoman.

 

First.   I give and bequeath unto my Dear Wife Elizabeth Vingoe one annuity or yearly Rent Charge of Twelve Pounds of lawful Money current in Great Britain the same to be paid to her by quarterly Payments during her natural life and to be issuing and payable out of my Freehold Estate which I purchased of Joseph Humphrys situate in Escalls in the said Parish of Sennen and I do hereby subject my said Estate to the payment thereof as aforesaid.  Also I give and bequeath unto my said Wife my Bedchamber whereon I sleep with the free liberty & use of the Kitchen and Kitchen Fires in the Houses in which I now live together with my best Bed and Bedding thereof and the use of such other part of my Household Furniture as may necessary for her.

 

Also.  I give devise and bequeath unto my Son John Vingoe all that my said Freehold Estate which I purchased of Joseph Humphrys he paying thereout the annuity herein before given to my said Wife and also all those my Freehold and Leasehold Estates which did formally belong to my Father situate also in Escalls aforesaid  To Hold the same Estates to him his Heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns during my Term and Interest therein  Also I give and bequeath unto my said Son John Vingoe the Half of all the Fishing Craft which may belong to me at the time of my death.

 

Also  I give devise and bequeath unto my Son Israel Vingoe all that my Leasehold Estate in or called Tregiffian Vean situate in the Parish of Saint Just in Penwith in the said County of Cornwall To Hold the same to him his Executors Administrators and Assigns during my Term and Interest therein.  Also I give and devise unto my said Son Israel Vingoe all that my Freehold Estate which did formerly belong to John Pascoe situate in the Tenement of Trevescan in the said Parish of Sennen To Hold the same to him his Heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns for ever.  Also I give and bequeath unto my said Son Israel Vingoe All the live and dead Stock in or upon the said Tenement of Escalls which shall belong unto me at the time of my decease, and also all my Household Furniture except the part thereof herein before bequeathed unto my said Wife.

Also   I give and bequeath unto my Son George Vingoe One Annuity of Five Pounds of lawful Money as aforesaid the same to be paid to him by my said Son Israel Vingoe for and during his natural life and to be issuing and payable out of my said Estate in the Tenement of Trevescan which I do hereby subject to the payment of the said annuity during the life of my said Son George Vingoe.

 

Also   I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Sally Matthews the wife of George Matthews the Principal Sum of Twenty Pounds of lawful Money as aforesaid the same to be paid to her by my Executors herein after named at the end of Twelve months after my decease.  Also I give and bequeath unto William Vingoe Son of my Son William Vingoe the like Sum of Twenty Pounds to be paid to him by my Executors at his attaining the age of Twenty one years.

 

Lastly   all the rest residue and remainder of my Lands Tenements Goods Chattels; Rights Credits property and effects of what nature or kind soever which I shall die possessed of or be entitled to at the time of my decease (and not herein already given devised or disposed of) I give devise and bequeath unto my said Son John Vingoe and my said Son Israel Vingoe to Hold to them in equal Moieties on half Parts share and share alike and to their heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns from and immediately after my decease subject nevertheless to the payment of my just debts and funeral expenses and the legacies to my said Daughter and my said Grandson.  And I do hereby Make nominate and appoint my said Sons John Vingoe and Israel Vingoe Whole and Sole Executors of this my last Will and Testament utterly revoking and disannulling all former Wills by me made

This is the last Will and Testament of me William Vingoe now residing in the Village of Tredennack in the parish of Gulval in the County of Cornwall Yeoman made when of sound mind memory and understanding praised be God for the same.

 

First   I direct that all my just debts and funeral charges and the charges and expences of proving this my Will be paid and discharged by my Executor hereinafter named as soon as conveniently may be after my death.

 

Also   I give and bequeath the following Legacies namely unto my Sister Jane the Wife of Thomas Semmens of Sancreed the sum of Five pounds   To my Brother Israel Vingoe of St. Just in Penwith the sum of One pound  To my Sister Barbara the Wife of John Vingoe of Sennen the sum of One pound and to my Sister Christiana the Wife of Edward Perrow of St. Just aforesaid the sum of One pound  the said several Legacies to be paid to each of them the said Jane Semmens,  Israel Vingoe,  Barbara Vingoe and Christiana Perrow at the end of Twelve months after my death.

 

Also   I give and bequeath unto my Brother Stephen Vingoe of Sennen aforesaid one annuity or clear yearly sum of Three pounds  To my Sister Ann the Wife of Thomas Ellis of Sennen aforesaid one other annuity or clear yearly sum of Five pounds  To my Sister Grace Nicholls of Gulval aforesaid Widow one other annuity or clear yearly sum of Five pounds and to my Sister Sarah Blight of the parish of Ludgvan Widow one other annuity or clear yearly sum of Five pounds  The said several Annuities to be paid yearly and every year to each of them the said Stephen Vingoe,  Ann Ellis,  Grace Nicholls and Sarah Blight or their assigns for and during their respective natural lives free from all rates taxes and other outgoings whatsoever out of my Freehold and Leasehold Estate in Escalls in the said parish of Sennen.  The first payment of each of the said several and respective Legacies to become payable at the end of one year next after my death and my Will is and I do hereby order and direct that on the death of any or either of my said last mentioned brother and Sisters the said annuities shall cease and be no longer paid or payable and I direct the same as to the aforesaid Legacies.

 

Also   I give and bequeath unto William Lawry of the said parish of Gulval Farmer the husband of my niece Mary the daughter of my said Sister Grace Nicholls the sum of Three hundred and fifty pounds sterling to be paid to him the said William Lawry twelve months after my death the same last mentioned Legacy to carry Interest at the rate of Five pounds per centum per annum from my death until the said sum of Three hundred and fifty pounds shall be paid and discharged.

 

Lastly   All my said Freehold and Leasehold Estate situate in Escalls aforesaid and all other my real and personal Estate and Effects money and securities for money Goods Chattels Estate and effects of what nature or kind soever and wheresoever situate lying and being of which I shall die possessed or become entitled unto of my death  I give devise and bequeath the same and every part thereof unto my Nephew Richard Nicholls of the parish of Germoe in the said County Shopkeeper To hold to him the said Richard Nicholls his Heirs executors administrators and assigns for ever according to the natures and qualities thereof and as his and their own Goods and Chattels absolutely (subject nevertheless to the said several Legacies and annuities hereinbefore mentioned)  And I hereby nominate constitute and appoint my said Nephew Richard Nicholls whole and sole Executor Residuary Legatee and Devisee of this my said last Will and Testament and I hereby revoke and make void all former and other Will and Wills heretofore made and declare this only to be my last Will and Testament  I also direct that my remains be interred in the church yard of Sennen aforesaid and near my late Fathers Grave and that a Grave Stone be erected over my Grave  In Witness whereof I have to this my said last Will and Testament set my hand or mark this eighth day of December one thousand eight hundred and forty two.

First   I give unto my Wife Barber Vingoe the sum of seven pounds per annum in addition to the before given five pounds per Annum in addition to the Before given five pounds per Annum so that she shall have in all Twelve pounds per year as long as her natural life be continued on Earth.

         I give to my daughter Elizabeth Badcock the sum of fifty pounds of lawful English Money the which shall be received at the end of four years after my decease, should the said daughter decease or cease to exist before the expiration of the said four years then her allotted fortune shall be equally divided amongst her then existing children.

         I give to my son William Vingoe the sum of ten pounds per Year during my Wifes life, and at her decease he shall receive four pounds more per Annum so that he shall receive the sum of fourteen pounds per year from the death of my wife till his own death.

         I give devise and bequeath unto my two Sons John and Israel Vingoe all and every my Messuages, Lands, Tenements, Hereditaments, and Premises, and all other my Goods, Chattles, Monies, Rights, Credits, Properties and Effects, whatsoever and wheresoever, except the above stated they shall share, and share alike in all and on all.  I do hereby make nominate and Appoint the said two Sons John and Israel Vingoe Executors of this my last Will and Testament utterly revoking and disannulling all former Wills made by me.  In Witness whereof I the said John Vingoe the Testator have hereunto set my hand and seal this third day of March in the Year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty one.

This is the last Will and Testament of Israel Vingoe yeoman of Trevescan in the Parish of Sennen in the County of Cornwall.

I nominate and appoint my wife Rebecca Vingoe to be my sole executrix in Trust to this my will and testament to manage everything contained therein during the minority of my son, except she gets married again but in that case she will not be entitled to any management nor to any part of my property

I give demise and bequeath to my wife the kitchen chamber of my house, together with the bed and bedding therein, during her widowhood also to have access to the kitchen and fire place in like manner

I give demise and bequeath to my son John Vingoe all my freehold property situate in the tenement of Trevescan, now in my occupation, to be entered on when he arrives at the age of twenty five years and to his heirs and assigns for ever on condition of paying my wife five pounds per year out of my estate in Trevescan of lawful money, during her natural life or widowhood to be paid quarterly and every quarter the first payment to be made on the twenty fourth day of June after my sons attaining the age of twenty five years.  In case of his decease, the same to be paid to her immediately.

In case my son should die before his attaining the age of twenty five years, the whole of my aforesaid property is to fall to my daughter Elizabeth Vingoe, and to her heirs and assigns for ever

But in case my son should marry before the age of twenty five years and leave an heir or heiress born under lawful wedlock, the aforesaid property is to fall to them and to their heirs and assigns for ever.

I give demise and bequeath to my daughter Elizabeth Vingoe the sum of fifty pounds of lawful money, to be paid to her when she attains the age of twenty four years out of my estate or effects.

I give demise and bequeath to my son John Vingoe all my goods and chattels of every description whatsoever or wheresoever, except before accepted to be enjoyed by him on his attaining the age of twenty five years as aforesaid, and to his Exors heirs and assigns.

 

In witness whereof I the said Israel Vingoe the Testator have to this my last Will and Testament set my hand this twenty fourth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty two.

I James Saundry of the parish of Sennen in the County of Cornwall, Yeoman being weak in Body but of sound and disposing mind and memory thanks be given God for the same, and calling unto mind the mortality of my Body and knowing that it is appointed for all Men once to Die  Do hereby make my last Will and Testament as follows / That is to say I full & principally Recommend my Soul into the Hands of Almighty God that gave it Me,  nothing doubting but to Receive the same again at the general Day of the Resurrection thru the merits of my blessed Redeemer Jesus Christ and my Body I Recommend to the earth to have a decent Christian Burial,  and as Touching such worldly Effects wherewith God hath been pleased to bless me with in this Life I hereby Give and Devise as follows --

 

Imp.  I hereby give and bequeath to my two Daughters Elizabeth Saundry and Margaret Saundry, One hundred pounds each payable to them when they shall severally attain the years of Twenty One and I hereby Will and order that they shall be reasonably supported and maintained till that Age according to the Discretion of my Trust herein after mentioned.

 

All the Rest Residue and Remaining of my Estates Money Goods Chattels and Effects of what kind or nature soever and wheresoever that I shall be possessed Seized and or anyway Intituled unto at the Day of my Death and not before given I hereby Give and Bequeath unto my dearly beloved Wife Margaret Saundry and my son John Saundry To Hold to them equally between them and during her widowhood.  But in Case of her Intermarriage with any Man whatsoever, That then and from thenceforth I hereby only give my said Wife the Sum of Fifty Pounds payable to her Twelve Months after such marriage in case she is then living but not otherwise, which said sum of Fifty pounds is to be stand and Remain as a full Bar Satisfaction and Discharge of all her claim of Dower or This and or any other Right of Law which she might have a claim to have to any of my effects whatsoever.

 

Hereby also constituting and naming them my Executors here of,  They paying all my Just Debts Legacys and Funeral Charges between them equally.

 

 And for the True performance of this my last Will and Testament in every point and branch whatsoever I hereby Nominate Chose and appoint my Father Law John Vingoe Executor in Trust hereof, and to his Survivor and the Executor and Administrator of such Survivor which Trust is to Continue till the youngest of my said Children shall obtain the Age of Twenty One as afores.   Settling a fair and Just Account at every years end by way of Book Stating.  Rendering the overplus  when such youngest Child shall attain as afores to whom the same shall then belong  Reasonable Charges being first Allowed  in witness whereof I hereunto Sett my hand and Seal the Twenty eighth Day of June one thousand seven Hundred and eighty three.

Daughter untill shee shall attaine the full Age of one & Twenty yeares or be married which shall first happen And also my Will & meaning is that in case my sd. Daughter Elizabeth shall happen to dye unmarried That then the sd. Sixty pounds so given her as abovesd. Shall be paid unto & divided amongst all my other Children that shall then be living equally betwixt them.

 

Item – I Give & Bequeath unto my Wife Grace Bottrell the sume of Five shillings yearly to be paid her by my Executors herein after named or one of them upon the Anniversary Day of the Month upon which it pleases Almighty God to put a period to my Mortall Soule which I doe hereby declare to be by and Intended to be in full satisfaction & Barr and Thirds Right of Dower or other Claime whatsoever which shee my sd. Hereafter name shall detayne and keep the said Forty pounds in his Hands & Custody untill the said Richard Harvey shall settle a Joynture or Dower in Landes ( to the good likeing of my said Execr. of the cleare yearly vallew of fower pounds on her for her life since in case she shall survive the said Richard Harvey And if the said Richard Harvey shall dye liveing the said Margery the said Forty pounds not being paid & no Joynture settled as aforesaid That then my Execr. hereafter named shall pay her said sume of forty pounds att or before the End of two years After the Death of the said Richard Harvey with lawfull Interest for the same from the Death of the said Richard Harvey.

In the name of God amen Richard Vingoe a mariner belonging to his Majesty’s ship the Cumberland, the Honourable George Paron Esquire Commander, being of sound and disposing mind and memory do hereby make this my last Will and Testament.

 

First and principally I commend my soul into the hands of Almighty God hoping for remission of all my sins through the spirit of Jesus Christ my blessed savior and redeemer and my body to the Earth or Sea as it shall please God and as for such Worldly estate and effects which I shall be possessed of or entitled unto that time of my decease I give and bequeath the same as followeth that is to say I give and bequeath unto my beloved brother William Stary of Plymouth in the county of Devon, Millwright, all such wages sum and sums of money as now is or hereafter shall be due to me from my service or otherwise on board this said ship or vessel of war and I do give and bequeath unto my said executor all the rest and residue of my estate whatsoever both _______ and personal hereby revoking and making void all other and former Wills by me heretofore made and do declare this to be my last Will and Testament in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this tenth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and fifty five and in the twenty eighth year of the reign of  our sovereign Lord George the second by the grace of God of Great Briton, France and Ireland, king defender of the faith ect.

This Will was proved at London before the Worshipful Thomas Bever Doctorof Law surrogate of the Right Worshipful Edward Simpson Doctor of Law, Master Keeper or Commisary of the perogative Court of Canterbury lawfully constituted on the forth day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and sixty one by the oath of William Stary the brother of the deceased by the half blood and sole executor names in the said Will to whom Administration was granted of all and singular the goods chattels and credits of the said deceased he having been first sworn duly to administer. Will  of Bottrell, John of  St. Levan 10 Nov 1801 (1809?) 

 

In the name of God Amen. I John Bottrell the Elder of the parish of St.Levan in the County of Cornwall Yeoman being aged and somewhat Weak in Body but of sound disposeing mind and memory Thanks be given to God for the same And calling unto mind the mortallity of my Body and knowing that it is appointed for all Persons once to Die Do hereby make this my Last Will and Testament in manner and form following.That is to say. First and principally I Recommend my Soul into the Hands of Almighty that gave it me nothing doubting but to receive the same again at the General Day of the Redemption and thro. the merits of my Blessed Redeemer Jesus Christ. And my body I recommend to the Earth to have a desent Christian Burial according to the discretion of a person herein after named for that purpose. And as touching such wordly Lands, Goods, and Effects wherever God hath been pleased to bless Me with in this life I hereby Give, Devise and Bequeath as follows.

Imp. All every and singular my Household goods and Furniture of Household, Husbandry Implements, and Utensils of Husbandry of all sorts and kinds, Wearing Apparel as well Linnen as Woolling or otherwise, Live Stock of all kinds whatsoever that is in my possession, Seized of or that I am in any way Intitled unto at the Day of my Death I hereby Give and Bequeath to my Daughter Elizabeth Bottrell with full power and authority for her to sell and dispose the same immediately after my death if she thinks proper without the Denyal of any person whatsoever. Also all my potatoes that shall be in the ground at the Day of my Death, and belongs to me I hereby give to my said Daughter, with free liberty for her or whomesoever she shall employ to ----(?) and carry off the same at will and pleasure without the Denyal of any person.Rent Free. Likewise the Dwelling House I now live in Raftra (?) with free liberty to pas and repass to the same. The Orchard that shall be in my possession at the Day of my Death with all hedges ditches and fences whatsoever to the same belonging, with the Downs over the said Orchard. And the Potato Garden that is now in my possession containing about forty Laces of ------(?), with full liberty at all times to pas and repass to them and every of them at will and pleasure whensoever she chuses, with the Walled Garden and Crows that is in the Hedge. The two houses before William Mitchells Door with all my right adjoining with the doors with liberty at all times to make and lay fuel of all kinds in Raftra Mowhay and to carry and recarry the same at will and pleasure with two Dung Pitts the one inside and the other outside adjoining with my said Dwelling House with Rights of Common in Raftra aforesaid with Dung for poatatoes ground every year with all other easements and advantages whatsoever in the same premises or to any part or parcel thereof belonging. All which said last mentioned premises and every and either of them with their several and sepereate advantages and Appurtenances I hereby farther give and bequeast to my said Daughter Elizabeth Bottrell To Hold to her and to her sole use and advantage during her natural Life and no longer But first I hereby Will Order and Oblige my Executor herein after named at all times during the Life time of my said Daughter to keep the said Dwelling House and every part thereofin all manner of good Repairations whatsoever at his own proper Cost and Charges when wanted. As well as the Walls of all and singular other the Houses, Gardens and Crows herein beforehand given. Hedges and Ditches of other the premises herein before given in like good Tenantable Repair when wanted at his own proper Cost and Charges.

Also, I hereby Will, Order and impower my said Daughter Elizabeth Bottrell to keep and graze on grass the Cow that I shall Die possessed of in Raftra Land with my Executors Cows, Till Christmas next after my Decease, Rent Free. and for her or whomesoever she sends to Milk the same at all times without any Denyal whatsoever.

Also, I hereby Will, Order and Firmly Bind and Oblige my Executor herein after named, The first Christmas after my Decease being expired and past, and the lawfull survivor and Representative of my Executor in case of his Death in the mean time That if my said Executor or his lawfull survivor shall yearly and every succeeding year find and provide for my siad Daughter Elizabeth Bottrell at his and their own entire expense and charge the second best Cow amongst all his or their Cows, which said cow yearly and every year is to come in ---- for milking as near as possible can be to the end of February and to be kept at grass at all times with his or their milk cows at the entire choice of my said Daughter Elizabeth Bottrell. To Hold the said Cow with undenyable authority and liberty for milking the same, Rent Free, unto the whole and sole use and advantage of my said Daughter Elizabeth Bottrell and to no other use or uses whatsoever, from year to year and every succeeding year during the time and term she continues to live, dwell and lodge in Raftra, But no Longer, And Morover I hereby give and bequeath to my siad Daughter Elizabeth Bottrell, The Weekly Rent Charge or Sum of Five Shillings a week and every week To Hold the same to my said Daughter Elizabeth Bottrell during her natural life, free and clear of all Reprizeals, outgoings or charges whatsoever, And in case of non payment when demanded of my Executor herein afternamed, One Calender Month being Relapsed and gone aftre such demand is made and not then paid, Then in that case as often as such neglect of payment is made I hereby Will, Order, Direct and impower my said Daughter Elizabeth Bottrell or whomesoever she shall authorize and impower in Her name and to Her use peaceably and quietly into and upon any part of my Estate and Land in Raftra aforesaid to Enter and Destrain, and the Destress and Destresses there found to Take Lead off and Drive away and impound, and impound keep and detain or otherwise the same to sell and dispose off to any person whatsoever for the most money that can be had for the same by Auction or otherwise as the Law directs and out of the Moneys ariseing by such sale or sales first paying herself, All her just demands, Cost, and Charges therein Rendering back the Overplus, if any be, to my Executor herein after named.

Also, I hereby give and bequeath to my Daughter Mary the Wife of Mathew Carthew the sum of Ten Pounds of Lawfull money of Great Britain payable to her with Interest for the same at the end of Twelve Months after my Decease. In Case she dies in the mean time I hereby then Will, Order and Give the said money to be divided equally between her children then living at the end of the said twelve months.

Also, I hereby give and bequeath to my Son Henry Bottrell and my Son in Law Mathew Carthew, and to the survivor of them and to and to the Executor and Administrator of such Survivor the Lawfull Interest of Sixty pounds of Lawfull money of Great Britain at the rate of Five pounds per centum per annum by even and equal quarterly payments to be paid them from the day of my death by my Executor herein after named, free of all reprizeals or any outgoings whatsoever, In Trust nevertheless to and for the whole and sole use, and to and for no other use intent or meaning whatsoever, but to the use of my Daughter Barbara the now Wife of James Crocker with full and undenyable liberty and authority. In case of non payment of the above Interest when demanded, to and for the above trust or either of them to peaceably and quietly into and upon all or any part of my Estate and Lands in Raftra aforesaid to Enter and Distrain, and the Destress and Destresses therefound, To take drive and lead away, impound keep and detain or otherwise to appraise, survey and sell the same as the Law in such case hath hitherto directed, by auction or otherwise, and out of the monies ariseing by such sale or sales, as often as any destress is made, first to pay all their just demands, with all Lawfull cost and charges therein Rendering back the Overplus, if any be, to my Executor herein after named, and to continue on until the said James Crocker shall purchase any Freehold Lands or premises or any chattle or Leasehold Estate or premises and out of such lands and premises so purchased first settle by good and sufficient deed in the Law, subject and under the same Trust as aforesaid the sum of Six pounds per year and every succeeding year payable by even and equal quarterly payments to and for the whole and sole use and advantage of his Wife Barbara Crocker during her natural life, in case she outlives and survives him, free of all Reprizeals or outgoings whatsoever. Then in that case such purchase and such settlement being first made and duly and lawfully executed. Then from that time forthwith, I further give and bequeath payable on demand to the above said Trust and to the survivor of them and to the Executor and Administrator of such survivor the above said sum of Sixty pounds of Lawful money of Great Britain. And the aforesaid Interest then to cease. In Trust nevertheless to and for the whole and sole use and uses and advantage and behoof of the said James Crocker and Barbara his Wife and the lawfull survivors or survivor of them, and to and for no other use, uses, advantages or behoofs whatsoever. And moreover in case of non payment of the above Sixty pounds by my Executor herein after named when demanded of Him I hereby then in that case farther Will, Order and Impower the said Henry Bottrell, Mathew Carthew and the survivor of them and the Executor and Administrator of such survivor, as well as the said James Crocker and Barbara his Wife, all or any of them, into and upon all or any part of my Estates and Lands in Raftra aforesaid peaceably and quietly to Enter and Destrain, and the destress and destresses there found, to take, drive, lead away , impound, and impound keep and detain until the above said Sixty pounds, with all lawful cost and charges therein is fully paid and satisfyed, Or otherwise the same to appraise, survey and sell as the Law in such case hath hithereto directed, by auction or otherwise for the most money can be had for the same and out of the money ariseing by such sale to fully pay themselves first the siad sum of Sixty pounds with its interest and all lawful cost and charges thereon, Rendering back the Overplus, if any be, to my Executor hereun after named. And in case no sufficient Destress can or may be openly had or found in or upon the said premises, or on any part thereof whereby the said sum of Sixty pounds may be fully paid off and discharged

Then in that case I hereby farther Wiil, Order and fully Impower the persons mentioned in the aforesaid Trust or either of them or the survivor of them Or the said James Crocker and Barbara his Wife, or either of them then into and upon my Freehold Estate and Lands in Raftra aforesaid or on any part thereof in the name of the whole peaceably and quietly to Enter and take possession thereof, And so much of the said Land by way of Publick Survey, but not otherwise, Determineable on the Death of Three Lives to sell to any person or persons whatsoever for the most money can be had for the same as shall be sufficient to fully pay off and discharge the above sum of Sixty pounds with its interest and all charges of sale thereof, Rendering back the Overplus to my Executor, if any be, And all such deed or deeds writtings or leases as all or any of my Trust aforesaid or the said James Crocker and Barbara his Wife shall execute from under their hands and seals concerning the sale therof. I hereby ratify, allow, and confirm to be in every point good and valid in the law, as I my sell could do in case I had been living. And farther in case no such purchase be made by means of which no such settlement can be made as aforesaid by the said James Crocker during the coverture, And Barbara his Wife should die before Him, then I hereby Will, Order and Impower Her to make her last will and testament in writting and give the said sum of Sixty pounds between her children in such proportion as she thinks proper, and payable when she thinks proper notwithstanding the coverture as if she had been sole and not married, Her husband being hereby fully bared and hindered from any claim or title to the same.To which several gifts, in Her last will to be justly and sepereatly according to the true intent and meaning thereof. I hereby subject and make lyable my Estates and Lands in Raftra aforesaid. But subject to the same Trust as aforesaid, and such sale as aforesaid in case of non payment of the same by my Executor when the same is demanded of Him, And in case she dies intestate Then I hereby Will, Order and Give the said sum of Sixty pounds,equally, to be divided between her children then living by the persons mentioned in my Trust aforesaid at the end of Twelve Calender months farthest after Her decease. To the payment of which I hereby subject and make lyable my Estate and Lands in Raftra aforesaid, and to such Destress and sale as aforesaid, in case of non payment thereof by my Executor, when demanded of him, by my Trust as aforesaid.

Also, The Dwelling House hereinbefore given my Daughter Elizabeth Bottrell, Orchard Downs over the Orchard, Pottatoe Garden in about forty laces, Walled Garden, Cows, Two Houses before William Mitchells Door, two Dung Pitts, Dung for the pottatoe ground every year and to carry the same, together with all other the unmoveable premises, rights, liberty, passages, repassages, Commons, Right of Common advantages, Easements, members and appurtenances whatsoever herein before given and bequeathed to my said Daughter Elizabeth Bottrell. I hereby give and bequeath to my said Daughter Barbara Crocker, To Hold to Her and to Her sole use and advantage from and immediately after the death of my said Daughter Elizabeth Bottrell, and not before, for and during her natural life and no longer, my Executor or his lawfull survivor at all times when wanted to repair and keep in good Tenantable Repair.

All every and singular the said premises at his and their own proper cost and charges as he and they are to do and support during the life time of my said Daughter Elizabeth Bottrell. Also I hereby give to my said Daughter Barbara Crocker, The time to begin and commence from and immediately after the death of my said Daughter Elizabeth Bottrell, and not before, The Milk of the second best cow amongst all my Executors cows or his lawfull survivors cows every succeeding year during the time and term She shall live, dwell and lodge in Raftra, but no longer, whcih cow is to be kept at grass at Raftra with his milk cows there, and to come in fitt for Milking every succeeding year as near as possible can be to the end of February, Rent free.

Also, I hereby give and bequeath to my two Sons Richard Bottrell and Henry Bottrell and to the survivor of them and to the Executor and Administrator of such survivor All my undivided part, portion and share of my Freehold Lands, Tenements and premises with the like part and share being one fourth part Lords or Conventionary rent, Issues,proffits,incomes,Reversionary money, if any be, hereditaments and appurtenances whatsoever to the same belonging of in and throughout the Lands and Tenements of great Bosollon and little Bosollon in the parish of Madron. To Hold the same and every part parcel and income thereof to them In Trust nevertheless until the lawful sum of Fifty Guineas with its growing interest thereon is fully paid and discharged, being the money that I have firmly bound my self my Heirs Executors and Administrators to see paid, which is the proper sole and absolute debt of my Son John Bottrell, And when that sum is fully paid off and discharged Then I farther give and bequeath unto my said two Sons Richard Bottrell and Henry Bottrell and to the survivor of them and to the Executor and Administrator of such survivor In Trust nevertheless as is herein after mentioned concerning the same. All every and singular aforesaid part, portion and share of in and through, but if the aforesaid Freehold Lands and premises in great Bosollon and little Bosollon aforesaid, which is one fourth part now undivided, with the like part and share of all Lords and Conventionary Rent Reversion Money, if any be, Issues, Incomes, Rights, Members Hereditaments, advantages, previledges and appurtenances whatsoever to the same or to any part thereof belonging, To Hold the same and every part and parcel thereof with all Rights, Incomes, advantaged and appertenances thereunto belonging and hereinbefore particularly mentioned and delivered given and bequeathed or intended to be from and immediately after the aforesaid sum of Ffifty Guineas with its interest justly paid unto my aforesaid two Sons Richard Bottrell and Henry Bottrell and to the survivor of them and to the Executor and Administrator of such survivor In Trust nevertheless as is hereinafter particularly mentioned concerning the same. That is to say, to and for the whole sole use, benifitt, advantage, and behoof of my said Son John Bottrell during his natural life, and to and for no other use, uses, benefitt, advantage or behoof whatsoever, Also I hereby farther will hinder and fully barrs and make void and null in the law, any sale or sales that my aforesaid Son John Bottrell shall make do or execute to any person or persons whatsoever of all or any part of the aforesaid lands and premises without the consent of the persons mentioned in my Trust aforesaid and their hands and seals to the same. But in the case of his death I hereby Will Order and gives him my said Son John Bottrell full power and authority to give, devise and bequeath the abovesaid Freehold lands to his children in such parts and shares as he thinks proper to mention in his last will and testament, But to be subject and lyable nevertheless, during their monority, to the person mentioned in my Trust aforesaid. And I hereby fully barrs him of giving his Wife any yearly annuity, or any other value, in case she survives him, to become issuing due and payable out of the above Freehold lands and premises. And in case he dies intestate I hereby then in that case gives devise and bequeaves All every and singular the abovesaid Freehold lands and premises situate lying and being in the Bosollon aforesaid to his children equally to be divided between them sahre and share alike when the youngest of them shall attain the Age of Twenty One years. Subject nevertheless to the Trust as aforesaid.

Also, All my Leasehold Estate, Lands and Effects, in the Tenement of Treen in St.Levan aforesaid, with all advantages and appurtenances to the same belonging I hereby give and bequeave to my said Son Henry Bottrell To Hold to him his Executors, Admon and Assigns from and immediately after my death, for and during All the rest, residue and remainder of my Estate and term therein then to come and determine by virtue of any deed, deeds or writtings whatsoever, by virtue of which the same is then held and enjoyed under and subject only to the Lords rent and other payments and covenants issueing due and payable out of the same by virtue of the lease leases or other deeds thereof and also my burying charges thereinafter mentioned . And free and clear of any mortgage legacy or any other payment Reprizeal or outgoings whatsoever. Save only as aforesaid and the Kings Taxes and other rates to be assissed and charged on the same.

Also, For paying and fully discharging my Funeral Charges by my Daughter Elizabeth Bottrell I hereby give and bequeath to her and do fully authorize and impower my said Daughter Elizabeth Bottrell Ask, Take, Demand and Receive from and immediately after my death, one fourth of a years rent on Raftra and treen from the Holders or Occupiers thereof. And in case of non payment when demanded I hereby farther Will, Order, Directs and fully Authorize and impower my said Daughter Elizabeth Bottrell or any person in her name by her authority and to her use peaceably and quietly to enter into and upon the said estates both or either of them and Destrain in and the Destress and Destresses there found to take drive and lead away and impound, and impound keep and detain Nonetheless to appraise, survey and sell the same by auction or otherwise as the law directs, to any person or persons for the most money can be had for the same, for the just payment of the said quarters rent with all lawfull charges of Destress and sale thereon rendering back the Overplus, if any be, to the sepereate owners of the said Estates.

Lastly, All my Freehold Lands, premises, Houses, Hereditaments, Advantages, Members and appurtenances whatsoever to the same or to any part thereof belonging part and parcel of the Tenement of Raftra in St.Levan aforesaid, subject and lyable nevertheless to the just payment and performance of all every and singular aforesaid weekly payments, gifts, and all other things herein before particularly mentioned concerning the same, and which the same is hereby subject and lyable to, I hereby give, devise and bequeath to my Son Richard bottrell To Hold to him my said son and to his male heirs, the Eldest being preferred before the youngest as his and their own Freehold Lands for ever and to his and their own benifitt use and behoof absolutely, for Evermore, Which said Son of mine Richard Bottrell I hereby Constitute, make, name and appoint whole and sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament. He paying and fully discharging all my just debts whatsoever, weekly payments and Legacys whatsoever, Save only the aforesaid Fifty Guineas which is the proper and absolute debt of my Son John Bottrell and my Funeral Charges as Aforesaid, by these presents making void and null all Wills by me at any time heretofore made. Hereby ratifying these presents and no other to be my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I hereunto sett my Hand and Seal the seventh day of September in the Forty First year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the 3rd by the Grace of God of Great Brittain the United Kingdom and Ireland. In the name of God, Amen

I Jone Dennis of the Parish of St. Buryan in the County of Cornwall, Widow Being of Sound Memory and understanding, Blessed be God, do make & Ordain this my last Will and Testament in Manner following.

 That is to Say I commit my Soul to the Almighty God, my Body to the Earth to be Deasently Buryed, as my Executors hereafter named shall think proper.

 I Give and Bequeath to Mary Vingoe, my Granddaughter, the Sume of Thirty Pounds, part of a Legacy given & Bequeathed me As a Legacy given me by my Brother Thomas Tremewan, deceased And payable by my Executors when She shall attain the Age of Twenty One Years. She dying before that Age then to her other Sisters, Share and Share alike, when attaining ye Age of Twenty One Years.

I Give and Bequeath to Jone Vingoe, my Daughter, the sume of ten pounds lawfull money of Great Britain Twelve Months after my Decaese and payable by my Executors and to be payers coequal. And in case my Daughter Jone Dying within Twelve Months after my Decease the said ten pounds to be Divided between her children share & share alike.

I Give and Bequeath to her Daughters, That is Margaret and Grace Vingoe, the Sume of Twenty Pounds to be equally divided between them when she or thay shall attain the Age of Twenty One Years One after the other and, in case she or they Dying before that Age, then to the other Children share &, share alike.

I do hereby Nominate, Ordain, Constitute and Appoint my Daughters Mary and Grace Dennis my Whole and Sole Executors, their Executors, Adms. or Assigns, of all and unto all other my Effects by me given and bequeathed, be them of what nature kindsoever or wheresoever.
